Trip Slideshow

During the trip our original planned itinerary changed into what can be seen on the itinerary page which on such a long trip is to be expected. We did keep to it mostly, but included some side trips such as traveling to the Argentina, Brazil & Paraguay borders to view the magnificent Foz do Iguacu waterfalls. We kept pretty rigidly to the itinerary after this until Christmas. Once our target of getting to Sydney for Christmas was met and we'd had a great holiday with Emily's mum and sister we were free to set our own pace for the rest of the trip. This allowed more time to explore Northern Tropical Queensland in our bought car and get in some SCUBA diving on the Great Barrier Reef. We also had more time in South East Asia allowing to not only visit Thailand like originally planned but to travel through Cambodia, Laos and extensively through Thailand itself. This extended the planned 8 month itinerary to just under 10 months.
