– Laos, Northern & Central Thailand and Hong Kong
Laos
A hideous journey from Battambang,
Cambodia to Poipet and the Thai border followed by a fun border crossing back
into some kind
of civilisation, that of Eastern Thailand. We travelled north over the course
of 3 days stopping off in Thailand’s second largest city (Nakhon Ratchasima)
and finally reached the Thai-Laos border town of Nong Khai, after being
battered by a tropical storm all night we got on another bus and the worlds oldest taxi car to
reach the capital of Laos – Vientiane. From here we headed north until we reached the
northern Laos-Thailand border in the Golden Triangle taking in the treasures
of Laos along our way.
